Active Swarm guidance plus retained Docker Compose references.
swarm/ is the active VPS control plane. Live values remain under
runtime/environments/vps; the Compose manifests and launchers under
runtime/ are retained rollback/development references.
Prepare the host
Start with Docker Swarm Migration and
swarm/README.md. Use Compose Runtime Reference only when working with the retained Compose path.Choose the environment model
Use Runtime Environments to understand where live VPS values, tracked placeholders, and reusable dev templates belong.
Roll out stacks in order
Work through Infrastructure Stacks and finish with Services And Routing.
VPS
Use live .env files under runtime/environments/vps. Run the wrapper scripts
without an environment argument so they default to vps. Validate exposure,
authentication, and routing against the live host paths and domains.
DEV
Start from the matching *.dev.env files under runtime/environments/dev.
Run the wrapper scripts with the dev argument to target the reproducible
non-production layout. Change only environment values to recreate the same
topology on another Docker environment.
